Human-Centered AI: Ethics, Skills, and CDIO Practice
Hosted by the Faculdade de Tecnologia de São José dos Campos (FATEC São José dos Campos) at the Parque de Inovação Tecnológica (PIT) in São José dos Campos, Brazil, the 2025 CDIO Latin America Meeting brings educators, students, and industry leaders together to explore how AI can enhance engineering education—without losing sight of people, ethics, and societal impact.
Guided by the CDIO framework, the meeting will spotlight practical approaches to designing, implementing, and operating learning experiences where AI supports creativity, judgment, and teamwork. Themes include responsible and trustworthy AI, future-ready competencies (data, systems, and human skills), ethical decision-making, and the pressing challenges of engineering education in an AI-driven context.
Participants can expect keynote talks, interactive sessions, and hands-on exchanges with peers across Latin America, leveraging PIT’s vibrant innovation ecosystem. Join us to co-create actionable pathways that turn AI into human-centered value in curricula, projects, and partnerships—moving from concepts to classroom practice to real-world impact.
