Enhancing Teacher Education and Outreach in Robotics and Digital Design through the CDIO Approach

I. Verner (2015).  Enhancing Teacher Education and Outreach in Robotics and Digital Design through the CDIO Approach. 11.

The Technion has recently established a program under which undergraduates and graduates from all faculties may get full scholarships to study an additional B.Sc. in science and technology education. This paper presents our courses in robotics and digital design education updated to meet the challenges of the new program and associated outreach initiatives. By using the CDIO (conceive-design-implement- operate) approach, adapted for reforming teacher education and outreach, we update the courses that combine learning pedagogical fundamentals, training technological skills, and teaching practice.
