Biography: 

Dr. Ho is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where he has taught since February 2005. He is Founding Director of the Ernie Schaeffer Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Director of the CSUN Systems Engineering Research Laboratory (SERL). He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct engineering education research in Vietnam during Spring 2008.

Dr. Ho was a member of the research team, led by MIT, which designed and flight-tested an aircraft noise abatement approach procedure (ANAAP) at Louisville International Airport in 2002 and 2004. Currently he is working with researchers at NASA Ames, Boeing, Cal State Long Beach, San Jose State University, and Purdue University to develop situational awareness metrics for NASA Next Generation Air Transportation Systems Concepts.

Dr. Ho is the first place 2005 winner of the PARTNER's (Partnership for Air Transportation Noise and Emissions Reduction) 1st Annual Joseph A. Hartman Paper Awards for his thesis work, entitled “Design of Aircraft Noise Abatement Approach Procedures for Near-Term Implementation.”

Dr. Ho teaches courses on Systems Engineering and Human Factors, Mechanical Design, Machine Design, and Manufacturing.
